We past the night in a field, just behind an hotel about 5 minutes from the archaelogic site of Uxmal.

Really expensive, 95 pesos for the site! To explain you, Uxmal is a Maya city built around 700 and 1200. The dates are impresive because lot of money was put in the restauration of the buildings for the tourism. So, the researches were quickly made and the dates are approximative. Around 25 000 persons were living in Uxmal and the highest pyramid's name the Pyramid of the 'God', a bad traduction but if you want to know, just make some researches on the internet. On one of the picture, you can also see a room where was some engines, apparently generators for the electricity, dating approximately of 1936, year of the beginning of the restorations.

Of an inhabitual form, you can see that the levels are in rounded shape, not in square shape like the normal Mayan buildings. Uxmal (Which mean "Three times" in Mayan yucatecan) was in a better conservation shape than the most part of the other Maya sites, because of the rock preciously cut permetting the useless of the cement. Uxmal, with his good conservation shape, is one of the rare Maya city where a tourist can have a good idea of what was a ceremonial antique center in his totality.

Also to note, the famous Ball Game of our Mayas's friends always there.

So we took back the road heading up to Campeche, crossing field after field, forest after forest, getting an idea in mind: Visiting another archaelogic site near the Mexican golf coast.

Unfortunately, after doing lot of streets in Hecelchakán and Pomuch, we were forced to forget our idea! An archaelogic site really unknow, far from everything and just one road to go up to this site, no indication and nothing, regrettable!

Hecelchakán is a beautiful city, it's in this city that we made the update of the website. A policeman stopped a first time to talk with us, asking us what we were doing there and also if it was possible to park our van on the other side of the street, we were in front of a yellow line. 20 minutes after we park the van on the other side, the same policeman stopped another time just to talk with us, without any precise goal, visibleness needing more job or social relation.

Campeche is a beautiful coastal city, a city of a good size with some hugesurface markets like Sam's Club. A beautiful fort dating of 1881, with a good view on the Mexican Golf. In 1882, Campeche's city was attacked, by who and why? Go on the internet if you want to know more about that fact.

The road of the day stopped us in Champotón, where we went in a little quiet and typical restaurant drinking a cold beer outside. Tomorrow, we'll continue our adventures!
