About our project

06/11/06 - Day 1 - First day in the USA!- 504 miles

The roadtrip has begin finally, we crossed the United State border around 12 o'clock, whithout any sun yet, but still we're happy to begin our adventure.We had a sweet conversation with an old couple from Ste-Julie in Quebec and we took the time to explain them everything about our project.

The border guard was one great guy, he even took the time to smile and laugh a bit with us, we also gave him a flyer of the roadtrip. Inspection, chatting and laughing time's with the border guard...less than 5 minute's, no kidding. Three other border guard's waved at us during there coffe brake right after reading the website adress, then we headed to Albany (south 87).

Down, close to Albany we had a gaz stop, during the day, we did around 16.5/gallon.Has our family's and friend's know's we have a quite good sense of humour, so we took the time to write on a piece of paper 55mph MAXIMUM...SMILE on the rear window ah ah! Tonight, we'll sleep in a rest area outside of Binghamton (New York).
