Do you remember the end of the story yesterday? We were trying to sleep in a little street in a neighborhood near Playa Azul. So, we didn't really succeed. Just before going to sleep, two police van arrived really faster to our van. About 20 guys armed with M16 get out of the two van and went all around our car...
The sliding door opened 5 seconds after, a guy asking us what we were doing there, we just explain it that we were just sleeping for the night. Michaël had to went with them, and they asked me about driving the Van. Something really funny, the pop-top was opened and they didn't want that we closed it, but more! The dishes that we used for the meal was still on the oven, so a police officer (Two officer were in our van with me) was set on the rear seat and the other police man was trying to hold the dishes.
Back at the police revision post that we had past one hour ago. About 100 guys armed were there, 4 guys were checking everything in our van and another guy was telling us were we'll be able to sleep. 10 minutes later, they let us go and asked us about sleeping on the side of the road, just about 1000 feets further than the police revision post. What a good night! With trucks and cars passing about 1feet of our car all the night and lot of people..
That was just so funny, and a lot more when we were back on the road this morning..and saw that it wasn't the right road! We were on the 37, and the good one was the 200. Viva the nightdriving in a country were the indications were not present all the time or not always evident to see. So direction Ixtapa, the road was superb, with the extremely denseness forest each side of the road. At the Playa Linda, just near Ixtapa, is an incredible beach. We parked our van there and past the day and enjoyed the warming water and sun, and the big waves of the Pacific.
We saw the two Québécois of yesterday, who were parked in a public parking near our van. At the end of the day, we took the direction of this parking, but this one with security and with lot of people. Tonight, we went in the caravan of Corinne and Carol, two cool Québécois that gived us an extremly useful book, Mexican Camping, that explain every place in the Mexico were we are able to sleep, any camping or parking.
Tomorrow, we'll probably be back on the road to go southern.
Here is the map of the day! |
