Here we are finally in mexico! 6 days later! We left Houston, Texas, sunday morning heading to Laredo, Texas. Michael took the time to adjust the valves of the westfalia before our departure!

This city looks like a little bit like El Paso, another city on the border but west of Texas. We slept there, still in the hotel! It was still cold outside so...

In the desert, it can be very warm in the day... but very cold in the night! We slept very good to recover from the past days!

This morning, after a good breakfast, we headed up to the mexican border! We had no idea about how it was going to be..!

When Michael saw the sign INM (Instituto nacional de migracion), he stopped and ask about the papers we need in Mexico.

We were not really a the good place, but the guy there told us luckily how to get to the office where we needed to go for the papers and permit. The way he showed us avoided us a long detour!! Gracias!

Around 12:30, everything was OK! We were finally inside Mexico! The city of Nuevo Laredo is very different from what we saw until now! Everything is changing so fast!!

We drove to Monterrey to finally change our idea of going downtown! There was a lot of trafic and it was getting late.. so we decided to go straight to Saltillo.

From Saltillo, we took the road 57, it goes all the way down to San Luis Potosi, we drove until the sunset! What an amazing sunset!

About 30 minutes later we stopped in a Pemex (gas station and kind of truck stop) that's where we are going to stay tonight! The view of the sunset was incredible!

Tomorrow we'll continue to San Luis Potosi and then we'll go west to Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.
